SPORTY AND SINUOUS
Paris: Comfort was high on the list of priorities for Stella McCartney this season as she took a light and humorous approach for Spring, creating a sporty and sinuous collection. Playful pajama prints and paisleys appeared throughout, updated with curling, asymmetric hems and lace insets, a body-skimming fit proving both fluid and wearable. Loose trousers, easy jumpsuits and one-shoulder sheath dresses were witty and versatile, a cool alternative to McCartney’s well-loved suiting. Jackets were still present, but significantly relaxed, featuring easy, voluminous sleeves and extended hems, expertly detailed with floating, dropped waistcoats.—Nina Stotler
